Losing It & Cover Books Made Into Movies - Part 1

Hello all of you that have been faithful to hang in there with me. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. The picture above I believe pretty much portrays me right now. I have been busy working on Book 2. It seemed to be going so well. Then I realized I had to add more information and put it all back in chronological order. I quickly got myself in a mess. Cutting and pasting from one chapter to another. Duplicates!!Ugh! Hate when I don't catch them. Anyway I am still trying to figure this out, but I wanted to take a break and do something fun.

I was given a Facebook Challenge to name movies that impacted my life the first time I saw it and still watch when I can today. WHAT A GREAT IDEA!!

Book #1 - Imitation of Life

This movie was based on a book by Fannie Hurst

Personally, I believe some of the best movies are the old movies.

The movie was released in 1959. According to IMBD It was the biggest Money Maker ever for Universal at that time.

The cast can be easily identified in the poster above.

I saw this movie when I was 9 years old . I have never forgotten it nor it's content. It makes me think and cry every time I watch it. It has something for everyone.

Topics covered include race, race relations, denial, unconditional love, growing pains into adulthood, shame, guilt.

Have you seen it?

Do you plan to?

I highly recommend it.
